HMW-Project Studio: Towards New Sustainable Communities in Vitoria, Brazil

Theme: Current complexity of informal settlements require integrated strategies for improving living conditions and upgrading material qualities. The existing built stock, the community networks and organization, the multiple actors and interests need to be bundled with technical expertise.

The Project: Aims at an integrative upgrading and innovation intervention in the problems of the area of Sao Benedito, a favela in the center of the city of Vitória. Further the project i supported by the DAAD project „Housing-Manufacturing-Water: Improving the living conditions of the urban poor“.

An integrated PIV will be offered by PTZ (Production Engineering Center) at FG Siedlungswasserwirtschaft (Water Engineering)
