Curriculum Vitae

Tino Imsirovic started working as a researcher at the Habitat Unit in February 2023 as part of PolyUrbanWaters (BMBF, 2019-2025). Within the project, he is focused on water-sensitive and actor-oriented strategic spatial planning approaches, aiming at the localization of SDGs and New Urban Agenda goals. Together with local partners, he conceptualizes tools for polycentric transformation processes towards co-produced visions in rapidly urbanizing (secondary) cities in Southeast Asia.

Tino studied Urban and Regional Planning in Kassel and Istanbul before completing his M. Sc. in Urban Design at Technical University Berlin (supported by Germany Stipend). From 2021 to 2023, he was employed as a student assistant at Habitat Unit as part of Urban-Rural Assembly (BMBF, 2019- 2024). During his undergraduate studies, he worked at several chairs both at the Institute of Architecture and the Institute of Urban Developments at the University of Kassel. Besides, he also freelances as an Urban Designer and collaborated with urban design offices Urban Catalyst GmbH and Teleinternetcafe Architektur & Urbanismus in Berlin.
