The Politics of Practice (Orientation)

With urban challenges increasingly at the forefront of social concerns and debates, the expectations and responsibilities resting upon architects and planners have arguably never been greater. But “there is in fact a great deal of uncertainty over what this role is at the present time and what is likely to be in the future.” Poxon, J. (2000). How can / should education of planners and architects change to prepare future planners and architects for these challenges?

The PIV will be conducted in the framework of the international research and collaboration project UrbanLab+, including a forthcoming international conference where the participants of the seminar are invited to contribute and participate.
