Curriculum Vitae
Ari Rizian was born in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina and lives since 2020 in Berlin. He holds a MSc degree in Urban and Regional Planning at the TU Berlin, as well as a MSc in Mobility Planning at the Universidad de Buenos Aires. He is part of the Habitat-Unit since 2021.
He has 15 years of working experience in the transport and mobility sector (public and private sector as well as academia), focusing on the transition to sustainable mobility. His fields of expertise are project & stakeholder management, policy advice, capacity building and international cooperation.
Ari is currently engaged in research and implementation projects in the field of sustainable urban mobility, low-carbon logistics and digitalization with special focus on the Latin-American region and emerging economies. The region needs strong impulse in public policy and regulations to encourage the adoption of sustainable and socially inclusive mobility and transportation models. Through pilot projects (demos) and capacity building activities, local innovators and policy makers are inspired and supported to generate a positive impact in their communities.
From 2020 Ari is the representative of the City of Buenos Aires in Berlin, contributing to bilateral cooperation and exchange.
