Call for Interns: The Community Development Compartment, VeryNile

as a part of our research project “Towards Green(er) Egyptian Cities Through People-Centered Practice-Oriented Urban Education” , Funded by DAAD Praxispartnerschaften Afrika 2023-2026

We are offering an internship position from November 15th to December 31st, 2024. Interns will work closely with the Community Development Department on several projects, with progress dependent on community engagement, partnerships, and funding.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, Geography,
    Environmental Studies, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess urban data, land use patterns, and spatial relationships.
  • Experience conducting research on international urban issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Proficiency in English is an asset, Arabic is an advance)
  • Ability to present complex ideas clearly to non-technical audiences.

The flights and accommodation will be funded by the project. Please check the Visa regulations according to your nationality.
