BODYSPACE MAGAZINE
ISSUE #01 Home(un)manking
The first issue of the BodySpace magazine is out. The magazine is grounded in eight contributions assembled along the past three semesters of the BodySpace co-research group, at the Institute of Architecture, TU Berlin
From the editor’s letter:
"This first issue focuses on home(un)making. What these spatial gestures share is a central question: what does it take, bodily and over time, to negotiate inhabitation, when home is not given, when the body itself is a site where that home(un)making is sensed?” BodySpace explores how a sense of home is built in relation to rituals, memory, personal objects, and human and more-than-human companions, under migration, gender transition, political reunification, and exile. The work traces different trajectories through poetic fragments, visual essays, photographs, mapping, music, and a card game."
