Curriculum Vitae

Obayanju Oluwapelumi joined Habitat Unit in October 2018 as PhD candidate, with the interest in Post Conflict Architecture, Social responsive designs, Policy and recommendation strategies for top/down architectural design interventions, Use of locally sourced materials in Architecture.

His research focuses on the relationship between conflicts, post conflicts reconstruction strategies /policies and architectural design. Supported by research funding from the Paul Kremer Maria Foundation, he is currently working on a research project which empirically investigates the potentials of urban development  coproduction practices in the development of self-provisioned housing and social spaces redevelopment of post conflict settlements in Global South (Nigeria),

Obayanju Oluwapelumi studied Architecture at Hochshule Anhalt Dessau after completed his Bachelor in Nigeria. Before joining Habitat Unit, he had internship in a Berlin based Architecture Design office where he mainly worked on design competition and residential projects of different scales.
