Water, Sustainable Development and SA—the "Rainbow Nation"

The lecture will holistically explore the numerous ramifications of Sustainable Development, and the water crisis in South Africa.

Dr Brian Boshoff is Senior Lecturer in the School of Architecture and Planning at Wits University. He has a B. Soc. Sc. (In Economics, Business Admin. and Psychology) from Rhodes University; a Higher Diploma in Planning for Developing Areas and a M.Sc. (TRP) from Wits University; and a Ph. D. in Environmental Design and Planning through Virginia Tech., USA, where he was a Fulbright scholar. Primary Areas of interest are Sustainability and Sustainable Development, Development Economics, Environmental Issues, Regional Planning, Development Planning, Urban Development and Disaster Risk Management.
